January 21, 2021 - Looking to the Sounds of Home
It is hard to believe we are more than half way through the first month of 2021. Since our last update, we have seen a lot of progress on the addition and a lot of snow! The Villas are starting to look more like home. The roof is on, windows are going in, and apartments are being spoken for! While the finished product won’t be ready for move in until late spring, our future residents are already excited about their new home.
December 16, 2020 - Home Sweet Home
The expansion progress is coming along nicely. The construction crew has been bundled up, trying their best to get walls up before the holidays, and more importantly, before Old Man Winter arrives. Walls are being framed, and it is easy to see that the project is quickly taking shape. The walls, though, will not be what holds the building together, nor will they be what makes it a home.
November 24, 2020 - Foundations
Without a strong foundation, a building cannot stand. The construction crew has been hard at work pouring concrete to finish the foundation and the flooring for The Villas expansion. Looking out on the project this morning, I had some time to reflect on how important laying a solid foundation is, not only for building a structure, but for living your life.
November 13, 2020 - Heating Up
With this morning’s temperatures registering below freezing, a blustery Michigan winter is well on its way. The construction team is hard at work, trying their best to beat Old Man Winter, who will soon slow their progress. To date, our foundation has been poured, and our plumbing crew has been diligently working on piping and general installation.
November 5, 2020 - Breaking Ground
While Vineyard Assisted Living will soon be celebrating its second anniversary in Texas Corners, the community is far from finished. Ganton Senior Communities broke ground on the expansion to Vineyard Assisted Living on October 1, 2020. This addition, known as The Villas, is set to open summer 2021. The expansion will add twelve new luxury senior living apartments to Vineyard’s campus, as well as new living space and an expanded beauty shop and spa.
