Seth Ganton

Campus Administrator

Seth Ganton is the fourth generation of Ganton’s to carry on the tradition of family-owned and operated assisted living. Seth was born and raised in Jackson, MI where he spent many years growing up in the family business as well as joining many of the construction crews that built each Ganton facility. During his time acquiring a Business Administration degree at Spring Arbor University, Seth moved to Kalamazoo in the Spring of 2020 to join the Vineyard team. Seth lives right in Texas Township with his wife Katheryn. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Monica Davis-Cruz, B.S.N

Director of Resident Care

Monica originally joined the Lakeview Assisted Living in early March, 2018. A year later she was transferred to our Vineyard Assisted Living community where she has been ever since. Monica brings with her over 15 years of clinical experience, and exemplifies leadership, compassion, and empathy with everyone she meets. Prior to becoming a nurse, Monica honorably served her country for 17 years in the United States Marine Corps, having achieved the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. Originally from Jonesville, Michigan, Monica has made Portage her home for many years. She has three sons, Derek who lives in San Diego, Joshua who serves in the United States Marine Corps, and Adam who is at home. Her dedication to ensuring our resident receive the highest quality of care and well being is why she is our Director of Resident Care.

Lena Austin

Director of Marketing and Sales

Lena joined the Vineyard team in March 2021 and brings with her over 10 years of Hospitality experience and over 20 years in Sales and Marketing. I enjoy being part of my community and engaging with its residents and business owners. I am excited to share the Vineyard with everyone and have the community join us during events.

 

My passion to make a difference is what led me to Vineyard Assisted Living where I can be an integral part in supporting families during times of transition and making our community a home away from home for our residents. I am married with 2 children and enjoy horseback riding, reading, and hiking with my German Shepherd.“

Cary E. Allen

Executive Chef

Chef Cary joined our team at Vineyard in June of 2024. He has over 25 years of experience in the culinary field. He hails from Austin, TX and attended Texas A&M University and Western Culinary Institute in Portland Oregon. Chef Cary's culinary focuses include American, Continental, Asian-Fusion, and French Cuisine. He lives in beautiful Hickory Corners, MI with his wife Pam and his two critters Coco and Molly Brown. He loves traditional longbow archery, serving in his local church, and tabletop games. He is extremely proud to serve the residents here at Vineyard Assisted Living.

Joseph Anselmo

Maintenance Director

Joseph has over 30 years of maintenance experience. HIs wife also works at Vineyard in our Dietary dept as a cook. Joe loves the outdoors and swimming and fishing at the lake.

Office Manager

Niki is originally from Lawton and has worked in the long-term care industry for over 20 years. She has a passion for working with people, learn from others, and helping in any way. She strives to lead by example, show compassion and empathy in her everyday life. Niki has two amazing sons and one cat, who she tries to spend most of her free time with. If she isn't with her two sons, you can find her at the gym or shopping!!!

Bethany Rose

Life Enrichment Coordinator

Bethany worked in the dietary department for over two years before transitioning into her current role as Life Enrichment Coordinator. During her time in dietary, she built strong connections with residents and staff, quickly becoming known for her positive energy. Those same qualities make her a natural fit for life enrichment, where she now has the opportunity to combine her creativity with her love of serving others.

 

Bringing joy to residents and coworkers is at the heart of everything Bethany does, including hugs for everyone! She is passionate about designing meaningful and engaging experiences that brighten each day.

 

Outside of work, Bethany enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, playing the piano, and spending time outdoors. She brings the same warmth and joy to her personal life that she does to her professional role. Bethany is eager to continue growing as a Life Enrichment Coordinator and is committed to providing the very best care and experiences for our residents.
